Humboldt tenant purchases additional land from CAN DO

(Hazleton, PA – May 1, 2008) – Romark Logistics, a tenant that began operations in Humboldt Industrial Park in 2003, has recently purchased an additional 12-acre parcel of land from CAN DO to accommodate future improvements to its facility.

Romark’s existing 525,000-square-foot facility along the CAN DO Expressway (Route 924) handles the distribution of refrigerated products and raw materials for the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, confectionery, gourmet and natural foods industries. The company bought its first parcel of land in Humboldt in 2002.

Company officials said they are pleased with their location in Humboldt and wanted the opportunity to improve their facility in the future. They noted that Greater Hazleton is an excellent area to consider for growth, especially due to its proximity to major interstates.

The existing operation currently employs 150 full-time associates, in addition to up to 125 temporary workers as part of its co-packaging operation. CAN DO President Kevin O’Donnell said, “Romark is a valuable tenant and we appreciate the company’s commitment to Greater Hazleton.

This new land will allow Romark the opportunity to improve or expand its facility in the future, which would create new jobs for our area.” Romark Logistics is currently hiring, company officials said, asking interested candidates to contact its human resources department at 453-2800, ext. 260.
