Stretching for five miles along Route 924 with nearly 50 industries and almost 7,000 employees, Humboldt is the largest industrial park in Greater Hazleton.
The 3,000-acre Humboldt Industrial Park is located just off Exit 143 of Interstate 81 along State Route 924.
There are ideal sites for all types of businesses - manufacturing, warehouse/distribution, retail/commercial and even corporate and back offices.
The advantages to locating in Humboldt Industrial Park aren't limited to the great location, in-place infrastructure and available workforce. Many sites in the park are designated Keystone Opportunity Zones (KOZ) which allows qualified companies to enjoy forgiveness from most state and local taxes through 2017 and, in some cases, 2019.
Development Phases of Humboldt
Humboldt
This original, well-established section of the park is nearly full, but some vacancies still exist. Current tenants include Amazon.com, The Hershey Company, Otis Spunkmeyer and Graham Packaging.
Humboldt West![]()
This section opened in the late 1990s and is also nearly full. OfficeMax, the first tenant to Humboldt West, kicked off the development by building its largest distribution center here. Cargill Meat Solutions, Michaels and First Quality Nonwovens also call this section home.
Humboldt East
Like the other development phases of Humboldt, this tax-free KOZ section has all infrastructure and utilities in place. One industrial site remains available in this section of Humboldt – while another site adjacent to Humboldt Station that is zoned commercial is also available. Tootsie Roll Industries, as part of Humboldt East and Residence Inn by Marriott, Sonic Drive In and Burger King fast food restaurants, and Turkey Hill gas/convenience store, which are part of Humboldt Station, are also located in this section of Humboldt.
Humboldt Northwest
This new phase of Humboldt has been tentatively subdivided to accommodate larger manufacturing and distribution projects. The first entrance to Humboldt Northwest at Scotch Pine Drive is under construction which will immediately make available approximately 90 acres with the remaining sites planned for future development. Humboldt Northwest is approved as a Keystone Opportunity Zone, eliminating most state and local taxes through Dec. 31, 2019.
