Humboldt Park Association members elected new officers during a meeting and facility tour at the American Eagle Outfitters Distribution Center in the Humboldt Industrial Park.
Brian Poveromo, senior facility and maintenance manager at American Eagle Outfitters, was elected Humboldt Park Association president for 2016 and Chuck Cresap of Simmons Bedding Company was selected as vice president. Treasurer Tracy Karchner of Karchner Logistics and secretary Nancy Stasko of CAN DO will retain their current positions.
Internet services company Web.com (NASDAQ: WEB) has announced that it is bringing 74 customer support and technical support jobs back to the United States from the Philippines and has chosen the CAN DO Corporate Center in Drums for its expansion.
The announcement came after months of talks between Web.com and the Governor’s Action Team, CAN DO and the PA CareerLink® Luzerne County. The collaboration between everyone involved and the universal support for the reshoring of these nearly 75 positions made this expansion in Drums possible.
CAN DO, Inc., working together with its partners of the “Partnership for Regional Economic Performance” (PREP), including Northeastern Pennsylvania Alliance (NEPA) and the Wilkes University Small Business Development Center (SBDC), came together recently to welcome Performance Biomedical LLC to the CAN BE Innovation Center and celebrate the five-year, multi-million dollar contract the company received from the Department of Veteran Affairs.
