Matthew G. Nause was honored with the Young Entrepreneur of the Year award by the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce and award sponsor CAN BE during the Chamber’s annual Business and Community Awards Luncheon on October 27. CAN BE (Community Association for New Business Entrepreneurship) is the entrepreneurial arm of CAN DO, Inc.
CAN DO President and CEO Kevin O’Donnell presented the award to Nause during the ceremony.
The CAN DO Student Action Committee is asking the Greater Hazleton community for its assistance in obtaining contact info of military members with ties to Greater Hazleton as part of the 12th annual Operation: CAN DO program that assembles care packages for local military members who are stationed overseas.
The Student Action Committee is encouraging residents throughout Greater Hazleton to submit names and addresses of any family members or friends who are actively serving in the military and have ties to Greater Hazleton. CAN DO presented its ninth annual Curb Appeal Awards to its industrial park and corporate center tenants who have beautified and maintained the visual appeal of their properties.
The awards were presented to companies in the Humboldt, McAdoo and Valmont industrial parks, Humboldt Station and the CAN DO Corporate Center during an industry mixer held Thursday at Residence Inn by Marriott in Humboldt Station. The mixer was co-sponsored by Residence Inn by Marriott and Coordinated Health.
