Mark Minnig, Business Development Specialist, has received certification as an Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP) from the National Development Council (NDC), a nationally respected organization that offers community partners throughout the U.S. development assistance and professional training. 

Minnig joined the business development department at CAN DO in April of 2019. Prior to coming to CAN DO he was an Economic Development Analyst for the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority (PIDA) in the Loan Underwriting Department.

For the past several months, Minnig has been assisting companies in obtaining funding through various programs to assist with hardships caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Mark’s professional certification ensures that CAN DO is up to date on the most recent economic development finance strategies and has vast knowledge of financing resources available for job creation projects. CAN DO continually structures economic development projects for businesses of all sizes as well as commercial and industrial real estate developments utilizing incentive financing packages,” said Joseph Lettiere, CAN DO Executive Vice President.

EDFP Certification is a professional credential given to individuals who successfully complete NDC’s intensive economic development finance training series. The training provides individuals working in the field of economic development with instruction in business credit analysis, real estate financing, loan packaging, deal structuring and negotiating and the creation and implementation of development programs.
